Nick Knowles will appear on DIY SOS in 2022 following reports that a Shreddies TV advert had placed it under threat.
Although he will resume filming later this month, he will not appear on TV screens until 2022. He is also unable to participate in Children in Need charity special due to the appearance in an advert. This is due to the advert campaign still running.
The DIY SOS host features in an advert for popular cereal Shreddies. In the advert, Nick helps a family in his capacity as a builder and describes himself as Nick “get it done” Knowles.
The Sun newspaper reports that the commercial deal threatens to violate corporation rules of the BBC. A joint statement, released by the BBC and Nick, states that the issue has since been resolved in relation to Nicks commercial agreement and BBC guidelines.
