Armed police officers have “forcibly stopped” a murder suspect, 100 miles from the home of his victim. The victim, Hotelier Sir Richard Sutton, was one of the UK’s richest men.

Six police forces tracked the cars 100 mile journey. Maureen Cane, a witness who watched events unfold from her window, saw a car collision and then police pulling a man from the car.

I looked out the window and saw 20 police cars, swerving to block this car in. There were police officers all over the car with what looked like machine guns pointed at it.
