Ronan Keating and Jermaine Jenas have assigned as the New One Show hosts. They will be accompanying Alex Jone on the The One Show sofa.
Since Matt Baker left a year ago, there have a variety of hosts and presenters that have come on alongside Alex, including Boyzone star Keating and ex-footballer Jenas.
From 10 May, Jermaine will be hosting with Alex from Mondays to Wednesdays. Ronan will follow through the end of week on Thursdays and Fridays.
Appearances will be made from Alex Scott and Amol Rajan as and when required.
The BBC said they and other members of the programme’s “extended family of presenters” would “continue to co-host episodes across the year”.
Others temporary One Show Hosts, co-presenting with Alex Jones’s, include DJ Clara Amfo, actor and singer Michael Ball and TV host Rylan Clark-Neal.
Jermaine Jenas is one of many sports man that has made a mark in the world of TV presenting. Here are some of the others:
- Dion Dublin – Homes Under the Hammer. The former Manchester United and Coventry City striker has been participating in daytime property auction programmes since 2015.
- Peter Crouch – Save Our Summer. Ex-Liverpool and England football player took to prime time entertainment TV in summer 2020, following his BBC podcast.
- Andrew Flintoff – Top Gear, Cannonball, Australian Ninja Warrior. ITV game show Cannonball was hosted by ex England cricketer Andrew Flintoff. He then went on to join BBC Top Gear in 2019 and presented Australian Ninja Warrior.
- Harry and Jamie Redknapp – Redknapp’s Big Night Out. Father and son duo launched their Sky One chat show featuring guests Maya Jama, Asim Chaudhry and Anne Marie.

Furthermore, Alex Jones announced that she was expecting her third baby. BBC are yet to decide who will be covering Jones in her absence.
Jenas, a former Tottenham and England player turned Match of the Day and 5 Live pundit, said he was “really looking forward to joining as a full time host alongside Ronan”.
Keating, is still continuing to co-present the breakfast show on Magic Radio, said he was “so delighted to officially be a part of The One Show family”.
The One Show editor Rob Unsworth said: “We’re thrilled to have Ronan and Jermaine join us as the regular One Show hosts alongside Alex on the sofa.
“It’s an exciting new chapter for the show, and we’re looking forward to viewers getting to know a different side to such well-known faces.”
