Chrissy Teigen has taken responsibility for bullying Courtney Stodden, apologising for messages sent on Twitter urging the teen bride to kill herself.
The US model, who is the wife of singer John Legend, said she is ashamed and completely embarrassed by the messages she sent.
At the time, Courtney Stodden was rising to fame as the soon to be wife of Doug Hutchinson. Aged just 16 at the time, Courtney said Chrissy Teigen was not the only celebrity who felt they could comment on the 34 year age gap.
Chrissy has made contact with Courtney, apologising personally, and apologised publicly. In a Tweet to her 13 million followers, Chrissy identified herself as a troll before saying she will “forever work” on being a better person.

Non Binary Courtney has accepted the apology from Chrissy, but they are still suspicious of her intentions. While they are giving Teigen the benefit of the doubt, they think it is a public attempt to save face.
Courtney refutes Chrissy’s claims that she messaged her privately saying “I haven’t heard from her or her camp. In fact, I am blocked on her Twitter”.
Chrissy has the potential partnerships with leading brands such as Target. Courtney believes that this is the true motive behind her very public apology.
Political commentator Candace Owens branded Chrissy a “disgusting hypocrite”. The claims the star only issued an apology after the story broke. She blasts the media for giving Chrissy a pass “for years”
In tweets unearthed by Owens, it has been revealed that Courtney was not the only celebrity trolled by Teigen. Chrissy has published tweets urging Sarah Palin to “shoot herself in the face” and mocked Lindsey Lohan’s self harm.
Chrissy has admitted these will not be her only mistakes, but she will try to be better moving forward.
