BBC Radio presenter Lisa Shaw dies of blood clot after Covid Vaccine

Lisa Shaw, an award winning radio presenter, has died following blood clots. She received the Oxford/AztraZeneca Covid vaccine which her family say is to blame.

Lisa Shaw received the AstraZeneca vaccine just a week before passing away from 'Covid vaccine complications'

Lisa, 44, began having headaches a week after receiving the vaccine. This progressively escalated and, fearing the commonly reported side effects, Lisa went to Royal Victoria Infirmary. The presenter passed away on Friday afternoon following treatment in Intensive Care for blood clots and bleeding in her head.

While investigation is still underway, an interim death certificate has been issued. The certificate cites “complications of AstraZeneca Covid Vaccination” as a consideration in the cause of death.

Lisa’s family have written a statement, released by the BBC on behalf of them. Whilst they believe the “Lisa shaped hole in their lives will never be filled”, they take comfort to see how loved she was. They are currently asking for privacy in order to grieve as a family.

MHRA says Covid Vaccine ‘outweighs the risks’ associated with it

Those under forty are now being receiving an alternative to the AstraZeneca Covid Vaccine following the link between the vaccine and the clots getting “firmer”. These ‘extremely rare’ clots couple with low blood platelet count.

On the 22nd April, MedicalXpress reported that 168 people died of clots. This is out of millions who have received a dose of the Covid Vaccine.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) admits the vaccine is not proven to cause clots, but the ongoing investigation is proving a ‘firmer’ link. Doctors are being told to look out for a sign of stroke after recieving the covid vaccine.

A spokesperson for the MHRA is working on a “detailed and rigorous review into the reports of blood clots occurring with thrombocytopenia”. It is ongoing. They are fully evaluating the death of Lisa, including a full assessment of the post mortem details.
