Tik Tok: Teen saves boy after seeing live video

A teenager saved the life of a boy 800 miles away after watching a Tik Tok live video.

Caden Cotnoir, 13, watched as Trent Jarret crashed his quad bike on the live Tik Tok video. The camera continued live streaming whilst Trent remained trapped under the four wheeler in West Virginia. Trent began shouting out a number. Caden, who noticed a small light signifying the stream was still running, rung the number Trent was shouting out. The number put Caden in touch with Trent’s family who rescued him 20 minutes later.

Trent’s family saved him and he suffered only minor bruises and cuts. The pair, who had never met, finally got in touch with each other on Zoom Monday.

Caden began following Trent on Tik Tok because of their shared love for fishing and 4 wheeling AP reports. When watching a live of Trent driving his quad bike, he crashed but the live stream continued. Trent began shouting his grandparents number out as it was the only one he could remember.

Caden spoke to local news station WMUR-TV following the crash, praising him for his quick thinking.

Quick thinking on Tik Tok

All of a sudden his phone goes kind of blank, you can see a little bit of light and you can hear him yelling for help. It was pretty, like, sad to hear, he’s scared that he is not going to make it out.”

Caden Cotnoir’s step father, a local police chief, added

He did what he was supposed to do and got the right people and it worked out. It was an Easter Miracle.

Matt Currier, Caden Cotnoir’s step father.

Believing he couldn’t breathe following the crash, Trent praised Caden for his quick thinking and how he helped save him.
